TheIntrepid's business includes principal investments in companies, including private equity and similar holdings, as well as financial services rendered under FAIS. A direct shareholding in a company is not, by itself, a FAIS financial product service. Where TheIntrepid renders advice, intermediary services or discretionary management in respect of financial products, it does so only under the Category I and Category II authorisations described above. References on this website to private equity, venture capital or listed markets describe the firm's investment experience and principal activity, and are not a claim that every such activity is a licensed FAIS financial service.

FSP 52207 is a South African FAIS licence. The registered office is in Cape Town. Johannesburg is a physical presence of the same South African FSP. References to Mauritius describe a network and physical presence only. Mauritius is not an FSCA-licensed office, and TheIntrepid (Pty) Ltd does not, by referring to Mauritius, hold itself out as licensed to render financial services in Mauritius under this FSP.
